I WANT TO UPLIFT, INSPIRE, AWAKEN AND SOMETIMES DISTURB IN ORDER TO HELP MAKE THE WORLD A BETER PLACE
Painter, Sculptor, Photographer, Writer, Philanthropist
Hi, Welcome to my art,
I am an Ukrainian creator living in Amsterdam. I studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Kiev and successfully graduated from the Fotovakschool of Amsterdam.
Architecture as a form of art has always inspired and uplifted me. We are all guests on this earth for only a short time but architectural structures and art remain generations. For Years I have traveled a certain classical path as an artist, painting the Dutch masters, working with materials of all kinds and mastering old and new techniques.
I had the privilege to be invited to the “St Petersburg Collection” created by Theo and Sarah Faberge in Belgium 2006-2007.
I have the honor of having one of my paintings in the home of Patricia Kaas, one of the most famous singers in France.
In 2012 I started working with colored glass and fell in love with the energy that light and glass can create in sculpture. I melt and shape my own glass and have developed my own technique, “Deva Oksana Glass”. Each piece is a one of a kind. No duplicates or replicas. My glass Creations have been exhibited in the McKeban Gallery, Laguna Beach, California .
As a photographer I was honored to create a photo exhibit to increase public awareness about Female Genital Mutilation (FMG) Centre for a Visual Art Amsterdam in March 2018. My photography project “Phantom Pain” was chosen as a finalist for the “Keep an Eye” award in November 2019 Rotterdam, Netherlands.
I am co-founder of a non-profit charity foundation. The foundation supports less fortunate children and adults with limited abilities. A Percentage of all of my artwork is donated to support the charity foundation.
I truly believe that all living things are connected and true happiness comes from serving and uplifting others.
Through my art, I hope to inspire, elevate and uplift all.
DEVA OKSANA
