In 2012 I started working with coloured glass and fell in love with the energy that light and glass can create in sculpture.
I melt and shape my own glass and have developed my own technique, “Deva Oksana Glass”.
First i pick up the glass and prepare them for fusing in a special oven where the temperature reaches up to 1000 degrees. It helps the glass to get the desired shape and color.
Every glass work contains hudreds of small individual pieces.Every piece of glass is uniqe. No duplicates or replicas. After cooling the glass i grind the edges of all the small pieces.
Each individual piece is then wrapped in copper around the edges.The process of joining each small piece of glass together is done with metals like a fine jeweler setting stones. The end sculpture is a mosaic of hundreds of pieces which form a beautiful work of color and light.
Deva Oksana Glass Sculptures takes hundreds of hours per piece. Its worth every minute!
